QU10125 Timken® NV4500 Input Bearing Cup is a precision ground, Timken® taper bearing cup that is a replacement for the original Timken® part used by New Venture Gear (NVG) for NV4500 transmissions in 1992-2005 Dodge and 1992-1995 GM trucks. Timken has manufacturing plants around the world so country of origin may vary, but this part is almost always USA or Canada made. Matching Bearing is QU10124. Install this Bearing Cup with optional QT1801 Bearing Cup Installer.

Tech Note 2: 1996-on GM NV4500
GM NV4500 transmissions from 1996-on use a concentric clutch slave cylinder which bolts to a flat, aluminum input bearing retainer. These transmissions use QU10137 special, low profile bearing cup instead of QU10125 cup used in all other NV4500 transmissions.
Tech Note 3: Lubricate
Soak QU10125 Bearing Cup in QU90020 NV4500 GL-4 75w85w Manual Transmission Oil or other approved lubricant before assembly.
Tech Note 4: Lubricants, Sealants, Threadlockers
Early production NV4500 Transmissions used an anaerobic sealant (QU90003) to seal between the main case and input bearing retainer, top cover, and rear housing. Mid-production units used anaerobic sealant just on the input retainer and RTV for everything else. Later production transmissions used black RTV Sealant (QU90006 or QU90005) for everything. Either type of sealant works fine (except the PTO covers ALWAYS should be sealed with RTV), but I prefer RTV for all components. Regardless of which sealant you use, make sure excess sealant does not block the lube access hole at the top of input retainer pilot that fits into the transmission case! Also, the threaded holes in the main case for the four retainer bolts and 12 PTO bolts are open ended, so you must use new bolts with factory applied threadlocker or apply Threadlocker (S24200) to your existing bolts to prevent oil seepage past the bolt threads.
