QU50887 3.73 Ratio AAM Ring & Pinion Gear Set for 2003 to 2013.5 Dodge Ram 4x4s with AAM 9-1/4" beam Front axles in Ram 1500 Mega Cab, Ram 2500, and Ram 3500 are genuine AAM original equipment gear sets.

Applications

Tech Note 1: Before Ordering
3.73 and 4.10 Ratio gear sets were used from 2007-2013.5 to use these gear sets in 2003-2006, see Tech Note 3. The 3.42 ratio was introduced for 2008. 4.56 ratio gear sets were only used in the Ram 2500 Power Wagon.

Tech Note 2: Genuine AAM
These are high quality, genuine American Axle Manufacturing Gear Sets. They will provide long and quiet service if properly installed. If you do not know how to set up your new gears to the factory specifications, find some one that does!

Tech Note 3: Differential Changes
AAM changed the differential after the 2006 model year. 2003-2006 3.73 and 4.10 ratio gear sets are not directly interchangeable with those found in 2007-2013.5 axles. AAM is no longer producing the early production gear sets, but you can use a new 2007-2013.5 gear set in your 2003-2006 axle if you ALSO replace your old differential with QU50729 diff.
