Shift fork tip wear is fairly common in 205 and 241 transfer cases. 241 forks that need replacement are often the victim of low/improper lubrication, broken snap rings, or bearing wear. Early 241 Range Forks have replaceable fork pads; late ones have molded, non-replaceable pads.
