Tech Note 2: 1959-1969 Fords
These Kits fit 1969 Ford 4x4 F100 and Broncos above serial number F70000 (See Tech Note 4 for 1969 vehicles with Serial number F30001 to F70000). They also fits most 1970 and newer Bronco, F100 and F150 4x4s all the way to 1994. For the F250, these three Kits fit 1969 trucks after serial number F70000 and 1970 to 1975 light duty F-250s with the 3300 pound standard Dana 44 closed knuckle front axle. These standard F250 axles have internally splined wheel hubs and use QU40188 8 bolt knuckle seal. For 1959 to 1969 standard-duty Fords up to F70000, see Kits TK4911F/TK4912F.

Tech Note 3: Seal/Hub Design Change
Ford made a front seal/hub design change midway through the 1969 model year. The 1969.5 hub uses 3.3" diameter QU90001 Seal instead of 3.25" diameter QU50654 Seal. My 1964-1972 Ford Parts Book has the 1969 seal part number break point listed differently in the hub (to serial number F70000) and axle parts (to serial number F30000) sections. I believe the hub section is correct, but if your 1969 4x4 has a VIN between F30000 and F70001, you should physically verify which seal you need. The Break point is determined by the 1969 Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
Use TK4911F/TK4912F Kits on F-Series and Bronco up to VIN F30000
VIN 30001 to F70000: Physically Identify Seal outside diameter before ordering
Use TK4711/TK4780 Kits on F-Series and Bronco from VIN F70001

Tech Note 4: Fits Several Axle Configurations
TK4711/TK4780/TK4905 Kits fit several Ford axle configurations. 1969-1970 Ford U100 Broncos have Dana 30 open knuckle front axles. 1971 Broncos can have either Dana 30 and Dana 44 front axles. The F100/F150 pickups all had open knuckle beam type Dana 44 axles from 1969 through 1979. 1972 to 1979 Broncos also have Dana 44 open knuckle beam type axles. 1980 to 1994 Broncos/F100/F150 4x4s all have Dana 44 IFS front axles. Our three Kits fit all these vehicles EXCEPT 1987 to 1989 vehicles with "pancake" type wheel hubs.
