QU40896 1350 Series 16 Spline Greaseable Slip Yoke for both upgrade and stock replacement applications that use Spicer 1350 series external snap ring universal joints. QU40896 fits most 1-3/8" 16 spline slip stubs. QU40896 is a popular option to our QU40806 (1975-2002) and QU40895 (2003-current) unfinished front CV driveshafts for Dodge full size 4x4 applications from 1975 to present. Includes grease fitting and press on seal.

Tech Note 1: U-Joint Specs
QU40896 is made to accept universal joints made to Spicer 1350 series dimensional specifications. Cup size is 1-3/16", overall width of installed u-joint is 3-5/8". Matching U-joints are QU40731 or TK40719.
Tech Note 2: Fits
QU40896 is made to fit 1-3/8" diameter slip stubs with 16 splines. The length from canter of u-joint hole to end of spline is 7.31".
Tech Note 3: Boot
When used on QU40806 or QU40895 unfinished front CV driveshafts, optional QU50233 Boot can be used in place of of the included Slip Yoke Seal. The Boot can extend Slip Joint life because it does provide a water-tight seal for the upper end of the Slip Yoke, however you still have too periodically grease the slip yoke since the Slip Yoke vent can allow water to enter the lower end of the Slip Yoke.
