QU12100 BW4446 Fixed Yoke Type Rear Case Half Sub-Assembly for most 2012-current Ram 3500, Ram 4500, and Ram 5500 Chassis Cab 4x4 trucks with either gas or Cummins Diesel engines. QU12100 is a brand-new genuine Borg Warner Rear Case Sub-Assembly for most 2012-current Ram 3500-5500 Chassis Cab 4x4s with either Automatic or Manual Transmissions and Fixed Flange Rear Output Borg Warner 44-46 Electric Shift Transfer Cases. QU12100 includes these factory installed parts: Rear Case, Front Output Rear Bearing, Rear Output Ball Bearing, Rear Output Needle Bearing, Rear Output Seal, Shift Shaft Seal, and Coil. Assembled in Mexico by Borg Warner using global components.

Note: for 2019 and newer RAM Chassis Cabs with the Cummins Diesel engine, QU12100 ONLY fits trucks with either 4.10 or 4.44 axle ratios. The Diesel engined models with 4.88 ratio axles use the heavier duty BW4448 transfer case and use QU12117 Rear Case.

Tech Note 1: Do I Have a BW4446 or BW4448 Transfer Case in My Chassi Cab?
Starting in 2019, RAM used two similar looking but different 70mm Input Bearing, 8-Bolt Mounting, electric shaft Borg Warner transfer cases in RAM 3500, RAM 4500 and RAM 5500 chassis cab 4x4 trucks. RAM parts listings show both types as 44-46 models, however, RAM factory Service Manuals show them as 44-46 and 44-48. QU12100 only fits the 44-46 8 Bolt applications which are found in 2019-up RAM 3500/4500/5500 Cummins Diesel Chassis Cab trucks with either 4.10 or 4.44 axle ratios and the same chassis cab models with the 6.4L Hemi gas engine and any axle ratio.

Tech Note 2: 2019-up Cummins High Output Pickup
2019 and newer RAM 3500 Dual Rear Wheel (DRW) PICKUPS with the Cummins High Output Diesel Engine and electric shift transfer case have a BW4448 transfer case with 8 bolt mounting. 2019-up RAM 3500 4x4 Pickups equipped with the High Output Cummins Engine AND Single Rear Wheel use a BW4446 with 8-Bolt Mounting. All other 2019-up RAM 2500, RAM 3500 4x4 PICKUPS with either gas engines or the standard Cummins Diesel and an electric shift transfer case use a 6-bolt mounting BW4446.
