QK1012 NV4500 Shift Tower Kit with Shift Lever & Knob is an exact original equipment replacement for 98-02 Dodge but will retrofit all 1992-2005 Dodge NV4500 transmissions and 1995-2000 Chevy and GMC NV4500 transmissions except GM P trucks. Kit combines QK1025 Shift Lever Kit and QK1127 Shift Tower Kit. QK1012 includes shift tower, shift lever, shift knob, shift knob locknut, shift pattern insert, metal/rubber Spacer Plate, 4 bolts, 4 bushings, threadlocker, and RTV sealant. 14 mm coarse thread shifter connection. USA made.

Tech Note 1: 2003-2005
QK1012 Kit includes QU10047 Shift Tower which will fit all 1998 to 2005 Dodge NV4500 series 5 speed manual transmissions. The exact replacement tower for 2003-05 Ram trucks is no longer available, but you can use this Kit on the 2003-2005 transmissions because the only difference is the threaded stub length on QU10047 1998-2002 tower is longer compared to now discontinued QU10714 2003-2005 tower. Except for the stub length difference the two towers are identical. QK1127 replaces QK1133 Kit which included the now discontinued 2003-2005 short stub shift tower.

Tech Note 2: Early and Late Towers
All 1998-2005 Dodge with 14mm coarse thread shift stub and 1995-2000 GM with 16mm fine thread shift stub NV4500 Shift Towers are physically interchangeable on the covers. In 2001 GM introduced the GMT 800 2500HD and 3500HD Chevy Silverado and GMC Sierra trucks. Vehicle Identification Number based (VIN) GM electronic parts books show two shift covers and towers for 2001-2002. The difference is the height of the cover shift tower base and length of the shift tower stub. The early cover as used for year 2000 and prior plus some 2001-2002 has a shift tower base that is about 3/4" high and it uses a short shift stub. The 2001 and later cover has a base that is approximately 1" high, accepts towers with a longer stub and it was used on all the 2003-2007 Silverado and Sierra trucks. The Dodge and early GM towers are not interchangeable with late GM shift towers.
