Although all Ford Dana 44IFS axle shafts take the same u-joints, the inner and outer axle shafts have different lengths for Bronco/F150 and F250 models.
We offer three different Universal Joints for your hard working 1980 to 1983 4x4 Bronco or F-Series 4x4 Truck with a Dana 44 solid front axle. All are good, reliable products, but different manufacturing techniques and seal types will have a major influence on the ultimate life of the joint. Our most popular choice is our TK40712 cold-forged, non-greaseable, original equipment replacement U-Joint. The wear-resistant cold-forged cross and superior sealing make it the best choice for both low maintenance and long life. QU40754 and QU90007 are hot-forged and are equipped with single lip seals. They are greaseable through a flush fitting threaded into one of the caps. With good maintenance and quality lubricant like our Pyroplex® Plus Grease, these joints will last and last.
