1945-1964 Jeep CJ-2A, CJ-3A, CJ-3B

The original civilian production CJ-2A was based on the WWII military MB. Jeep would offer a staggering amount of optional equipment for the early CJ models including 3 point hitches, 540 rpm Power Take Offs (PTO), snow plows, augers, winches, mowers, and more. The 1945-1949 CJ-2A was followed by the similar 1949-1953 CJ-3A both of which have a 134 cubic inch, 60 hp Flathead 4 cylinder engine. The CJ-3B equipped with a more powerful 134 cubic inch F-Head (4 valves in the block, 4 in the head) replaced the CJ-3A towards the end of 1953. The CJ-3B would continue in production for the US market until 1964.
