Description

TMD81CD 1981 Complete Dodge Truck, Ramcharger, and Traiduster Factory Service Manual on CD for Dodge Ramcharger, D150, W150, D250, W250, D350, W350, D450, and W450 models plus Plymouth Trailduster is your source for complete service, maintenance, and overhaul information for your 1981 Dodge Ram truck. Our Chrysler authorized reproduction Factory Shop Manuals cover almost everything you may need to service on your big Dodge truck from alternator testing to wheel bearing replacement. Dodge Factory Manuals include hundreds of black and white illustrations, service procedures, torque specifications, wiring diagrams, and troubleshooting charts. 1981 Dodge Factory Shop Manual includes coverage of axles, body, brakes, clutch, drive shaft, engine, electrical, exhaust, frame, transfer case, transmission, steering, and suspension.

Get the details you need to know before tearing into your truck! The information on this CD is far superior to other makes of shop manuals because it has far more detail, more illustrations, more specifications, and is targeted to specific models and years. This CD is very affordable compared to the printed version and takes less space on your bookshelf, making it a great addition to your library! These are the CDs we use in our shop!

Tech Note 1: Please Note
Factory Shop Manuals are excellent and authoritative sources of information, but they are written by highly skilled tech teams for the professional automotive technician with good reading and comprehension skills. The service procedures often skip over small steps that the pro performs without even thinking about it. The illustrations are usually good, but lack fine detail that would help the first time or Do-It Yourself (DIY) mechanic. As an example, my TM1003 NV4500 Transmission Service Manual has 116 pages and over 400 color photographs plus very detailed rebuild and technical information to cover rebuilding a NV4500 5 Speed Manual Transmission. The Dodge Factory Service Manual coverage includes a few dozen line drawings spread over about 40 pages. On the other hand, the Dodge Factory Manual pages include transmission removal and installation information which my TM1003 does not.

Tech Note 2: 1981 Changes
The 1981 was was the year Dodge started calling their truck line RAM and changed the model designation for Class 2, 3, and 4 trucks to x50 series. 1981 was also the last year of the Plymouth Trailduster. Externally, 1981 trucks had some relatively minor sheet metal changes.

Tech Note 3: Exploded Views
Factory Service Manuals generally do not list part numbers or show many Exploded Views. We will be adding the applicable Dan the Gear Man® Exploded Views below as they become available:
