Applications

Tech Note 1: Dualmatic,  Selectro, and Power Train
Dualmatic was originally a Colorado based manufacturer who originally produced a lockout hub that was engaged by flipping 2 levers. In the mid 1970's, Dualmatic introduced a new, spring-lock hub design that featured a large, easy to turn control knob. Dualmatic produced hubs under the Dualmatic, Selectro, and Dana-Spicer Power Train brands. For a given application, the hubs were identical except for the name cast on the control knob face. Dualmatic would provide several hub models to original equipment manufacturers including Chrysler (1980-1990) and Rockwell, but in the 1990's, hub sales slowed and the hub manufacturing rights were sold by Dualmatic's parent company. Currently, several models of hubs are still available under the Selectro brand name. For identical applications, Selectro replacement parts and assemblies are totally interchangeable with large handle hubs branded Dualmatic, Selectro, or Power Train.

Tech Note 2: Fits
The only original equipment hubs we know this screw fits is the Dualmatic hubs used on 1980-1990 Dodge Dana 60 front axles with 8 Bolt Hub Locks and Selectro Hubs used on Rockwell front axles. Most Dualmatic or Selectro and all Powertrain hubs were sold as aftermarket replacement hubs for other applications. See our application list below.

Tech Note 3: 2 Types of Screws
Most Dualmatic and Selectro Hub Handles have two types of screws. The three QU51177 Phillips Head Screws (closest to the hub body) retain the Hub Handle or Dial to the Hub Body. These three screws have to be removed to separate the handle from the body. The other 3 Screws are outboard of the Phillips Screws and have either Torx heads (QU51178) or on older hubs Tamper Resistant Heads and are used to secure the hub cam to the handle. The Hub Cam Screws do NOT need to be removed to disassemble the handle from the body. The only time the cam screws are removed is if you need to replace the cam or spring or if you need to replace the bare handle casting itself.
