Description
QU50753 Dodge/Ram 11-1/2 AAM Trac-Rite® Gear Locking Limited Slip Differential is a genuine AAM factory assembled original equipment helical gear type limited slip differential for 2003 to 2018 Ram 2500 and 2003 to 2018 Ram 3500 trucks with the American Axle Manufacturing AAM 1150 11-1/2" ring gear, 14 bolt full floating rear axle and 2013-2015 Ram 3500 trucks with the AAM 1180 11.8" DRW rear axle. The helical gear drive is more effective and longer lasting than clutch type limited slips and best of all they do not adversely affect driveability the way a ratchet type locker does.

Tech Note 1: No Service Parts
No service parts are available for Trac-Rite® Differentials, but they can be disassembled for cleaning.
Tech Note 2: Limited Slip Additive
Trac-Rite® helical gear limited slip differentials do not use stacks of conventional friction discs between the side gears and case like older "Posi-Traction" type differentials so they DO NOT require limited slip additive.
