Tech Note 1: Lubricate Seal Lip
Lubricate the Seal Lip with clean grease to provide initial lubrication.
Tech Note 2: Install Tool
More wheel seals are wrecked from poor installation procedures than from any other cause. Use QT1508 Seal Installer with a QT1100 series driver handle to seat the seal square in the hub bore, without damage. After the seal is installed, lubricate the seal lips with clean wheel bearing grease.
Tech Note 3: Seal Features
QU50225 is a 1/4" wide Double Lip Grease Seal designed to fit disc brake hubs with shallow seal bores. QU50225 features an outer wiper lip to deflect dust, water, and grit. The inner seal lip retains your wheel bearing grease.
