Tech Note 1: Ford F350
On Dana 60 front axles, Ford switched from greaseable King Pins to non-greaseable Ball Joints starting with 1992 model year F350 4x4 truck.
Tech Note 2: Tools
The Ball Joints on your Dodge or Ford Dana front axle are pressed into the steering knuckle. To press your Ball Joints in or out of the steering knuckles, see TS4511 Ball Joint Press Set which all Dana 50IFS, Dana 50 Monobeam, and Dana 60 front axles that use this Ball Joint.
Tech Note 3: Camber Bushing
The matching Upper Ball Joint is QA50095 which fits many axle applications from 1980 to 2005, but different replaceable upper ball joint camber bushings were used depending upon the model, year, and suspension height. In many cases, the original camber bushing was replaced during a front end alignment at some point in the vehicles history. If possible, install the camber bushing from your old ball joints, then have your front end aligned by a competent front end specialist who can check and change toe-in, camber, and caster as needed.
