Tech Note 1: Ball Stud Tube Yoke
The 1/2" diameter stud on Ball Stud Tube Yoke (QU40864) MUST be in good shape. If it is not, the bearing rollers contained inside the CV Ball of the QU40868 will either fall out or break apart in short order. Besides having your Ford broke down again, this type of failure is something we can NOT replace under warranty. Another fairly common no warranty problem is to break a needle bearing by inadvertently dislodging one or more needles during assembly and then forcing the yoke into place.

Tech Note 2: U-Joint Specs
The universal joint for this yoke will have 1-3/16" diameter cups. The overall width of the joint is 3-5/8" (3.625" 92.08 mm). External snap rings are used to retain the U-Joint. Our matching U-Joint part numbers are TK40719 and QU40731.
