TK40719 Torque King® Premium Quality, Non-Greaseable Driveshaft or Axle U-Joint is a USA Made, premium quality, heavy-duty factory-lubed Universal Joint for Spicer 1350 series applications. TK40719 features extra-hard, cold-forged, alloy steel cross, High-temperature synthetic lubricant, Multi-lip seals, precision ground cups, tough, durable thrust washers between the journal ends and cups, and corrosion resistant External Snap Rings. This U-Joint fits many 1950's-up Driveshafts in Chevy, Dodge, Ford, and GMC Class 2, 3, 4, and 5 trucks plus 1980-1997 Ford Dana 50IFS front axles. Meets or exceeds original equipment specifications for any North American built light truck that uses universal joints made to Spicer 1350 series dimensional specifications. Made in U.S.A..

Tech Note 1: Dimensions
TK40719 is an external snap ring type universal joint made to Spicer 1350 series dimensional specifications. The u-joint cup diameter is 1-3/16". The overall width is 3-5/8". For a lower cost, greaseable universal joint for the same applications, see QU40731.

Tech Note 2: Modifications
When TK40719 is used as an Axle U-Joint, the beefed up axle yokes on 1959-1975 Dana 44HD closed knuckle axles and 1980-1997 Ford Dana 50IFS front axles can pose installation problems unless the inside of the yoke ears are slightly modified with a file. Once you modify your new or good condition used axle shafts, TK40719 will just barely clear the yokes as you pivot the cross into place. However, due to heavy corrosion or improper removal procedures, the axle shaft yoke ears may have been compressed when removing the old u-joint which can cause installation problems getting the cross in place and make you curse a blue streak when you try to install the second snap ring in the sprung yoke.
