QU40431 Large Spindle and Axle Shaft Bushing for Dana Spicer Model 60 and 70 Closed Knuckle Front Axles is a flanged Bronze Bushing used in both the spindle and axle housing tubes to support the front axle shafts in Jeep Dana 60 or Dodge and International Dana 70 closed knuckle front axles. Tech Note 1: When to Replace
Both the inside diameter and thrust face of the Bushings are subject to wear. Replace any installed bushing that is a loose fit to the axle shaft, that has visible wear, or is not a press-fit in the spindle. Worn out Bushings will cause the axle shaft to hit the King Pins.

Tech Note 2: Pre-Lube
Pre-Lube the inside of the bushing with some clean grease before installing the spindle to provide initial lubrication.

QU40431 has a nominal inside diameter of 1-9/16".
