QU40405 Pinion Wiper V Seal for Dana 30, Dana 44, and Dana 50 Axles

QU40405 Dana 30, Dana 44, and Dana 50 Pinion Wiper V Seal is a genuine Dana-Spicer original equipment part that fits all 1999 to 2005 Dana-Spicer Model 50 front axles in used in Ford Excursion and 1999-2004 Model 50 axles used in some F-250 and F-350 4x4 vehicles plus many Jeep Dana 30 and Dana 44 front axles. The function of this seal is to protect the pinion seal from road splash and other object damage. The flexible wiper lip is in constant contact with the steel flat front face of the pinion seal. Made in Sweden.

Tech Note 1: Flexible Lip
The flexible lip on this seal will ride against the face of the pinion seal.

Tech Note 2: Outer Seal
This seal is the outer seal of a two seal set. Order QU40570 (early) or QU40411 (late) Pinion Seals separately.

Tech Note 3: Seal Life
To extend seal life, apply a very thin film of quality grease to the flexible seal lip (Not enough to collect dirt, just a little to keep the seal lip from burning).
