QU40031 4x4 Front Outer Spindle Nut with 4 Slots and 1-5/8" Thread

QU40031 Outer 4 Slot 4x4 Front Spindle Nut is a genuine Dana-Spicer original equipment part for Dana 30 (Ford Bronco) Dana 44 (All Makes), GM 10 Bolt (Chevy/GMC) and 1973-1977 Ford F-250 Crew Cab Dana 60 front drive axles. This 1-5/8" thread nut was used as the outer spindle nut on most SUV's, 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton Chevy, Ford, and GMC trucks with serviceable wheel bearings from the late 1950's to the early 1990's. Dodge used it from 1969-1974 and 1980 to 1993, Jeep J-series full-size 4x4s had it from 1973-1989. USA Made.

Tech Note 1: Fits
QU40031 Spindle Nut fits spindles with thread diameters of 1-5/8".

Tech Note 2: Spindle Nut Sockets
Use with QT1012 or QT1025 Spindle Nut Sockets. The spindle nut tightening procedure and torque specification varies widely depending upon the year and model. Consult a factory shop manual for your vehicle.

Most SUV's, 1/2 ton, and 3/4 ton with serviceable wheel bearings (late 1950's to early 1990's)
