Tech Note 1: Product Note
These type of Seals are very effective for sealing oil in and water out, but they can be easily damaged during installation. Never apply force directly to the inner ring.

Tech Note 2: Before Installation
The rubber outer coating on the outer shell allows this Seal to be used in aluminum and magnesium transfer cases without fear of galvanic corrosion. To facilitate Seal installation, lubricate the outside diameter of the Seal with a thin film of engine oil before installation.
