TK11838 gets installed over the spindle next to but outboard of TK11716 Nut and QU30123 Key. The hooked end must be engaged in the spindle key slot.

Tech Note 2: Reusable?
TK11838 Hub Adjuster Nut Retaining Ring is reusable IF it is in good condition. Replace any Ring that is stretched, bent or otherwise damaged!
