QT1165 Inner Front Axle Shaft Oil Seal Installer for GM 10 Bolt and Dana 44 Front Axles is used to install CR seals on many older trucks with Dana 44 axles and all GM trucks with the GM 10 bolt solid front axle. This tool does not have a depth stop making it suitable for use on both Dana 44and GM 10 bolt applications, however, for a reference point, you will need to check the depth of the old seals before removing them. GM always used a CR seal for the 10 bolt, but many Dana axles were originally equipped with a NOK seal which Spicer has replaced with the CR design. Made in U.S.A. by Us Here in Montana. (Also see QT1041 for Mod 44) Included in QK4872 Kit and TS4872 Tool Set.

Applications

Tech Note 1: Must Be Removed
Your brakes, wheel hubs, axle shafts, and differential must be removed from the housing to replace the axle shaft seals.

Tech Note 2: Use Proper Tools
Installing GM 10 Bolt or Dana 44 Inner Axle Shaft Oil Seals without damaging the seal, your axle housing, or your fingers can be difficult UNLESS you have the correct tools for the job. Combine this seal installer with our QT1189 (D44) or QT1133 (10B) Press Screw and QT1161 (D44) or QT1186 (10B) Thrust Plate and you will quickly and easily install those pesky oil seals without mashing your fingers or cussing a blue streak! Plus the Seal will be installed right the first time, with no warranty comebacks.
