TK11252 2009 Dynatrac Free-Spin with DynaLoc Heavy-Duty Lock Out Hubs

TK11252 Dynatrac Free-Spin™  with DynaLoc Heavy-Duty Lock Out Hubs Kit for 2009 Dodge Ram 2500, Ram 3500 fits 2009 AAM 9-1/4" Front Drive Axles in Ram 2500 and Ram 3500 4x4 trucks with single rear wheels. TK11252 includes the conversion parts and DynaLoc of fuel-saving lockout hubs to upgrade your heavy-duty Ram 4x4's front axle. Each Kit includes a complete, USA made Dynatrac Front Free-Spin™ Hub Kit with heat-treated chromoly spindles, spindle bearings, spindle seals, Timken® wheel bearings, Timken® or Dana wheel seals, 35-spline 1.50-inch chromoly outer shafts, 8 bolt wheel hubs, DynaLoc Hub Locks, double spindle nut kit, and instructions. TK11252 direct fits single rear wheel trucks. Will also fit dually models with optional wheel adapters, see Tech Note 2 if you have a Dodge Ram 3500 with Dual Rear Wheels (DRW).

Tech Note 3: Kit Differences
The only component difference between TK11251, TK11252, and TK11296 Kits is the lock out hubs. TK11251 includes TK56120 Warn Premium Hubs. TK11252 includes TK11258 heavy-duty Dynaloc™ Hubs. TK11296 comes with QU56112 Mile Marker Stainless Steel Hubs.

Tech Note 4: Ram 3500 Dually
If you have a Dodge Ram 3500 dually, your factory dual wheel hub adapters will have to be changed as they have insufficient clearance for the new lockout hubs included in our Kits. Order optional QU42072 Dual Wheel Adapter Set.

Tech Note 5: Ball Joints
We also stock TK42058 Dynatrac, Heavy-Duty greaseable/rebuildable Ball Joints and TK11266 Carli Extreme Duty Ball Joints for 2003-2008 Dodge Ram 4x4s.

Tech Note 6: Axle Shaft U-Joints
The new outer axle shafts that come with TK11252 fits universal joints made to Spicer 1480WJ dimensions. For 2009 trucks, Dynatrac supplies shims to allow the use of AAM size joints in the new outer axle shaft. Personally, I dislike that option, so we have developed some exclusive alternatives. 
Your U-Joint Options are:

2009:
C) Use the supplied shims, and  either reuse your original axle u-joints or order optional 1485 series QU40765, TK40444, or TK40446 axle u-joints.
D) Order Torque King® TKA4946 Spicer 1480WJ to AAM 1485WJ Conversion U-Joints
E) Order optional TK11310 Right and TK11311 Left USA Made Performance 4140 Thru-Hardened Inner Axle Shafts AND your choice of QU30332, TK40715, TK40724, TK42117 1480WJ u-joints.

Tech Note 7: Inner Axle Seals
To install TK11252, you need to remove the original hubs and axle shafts. Depending upon age, mileage, and use, your truck may also need inner axle shaft oil seals, ball joints, brake parts, or pinion seal. Inspect the axle before disassembly for worn or damaged parts and order those extra parts/tools you desire for a first class job.

I strongly recommend you also order QT1016i Spindle Nut Socket and QK4964 Tool and Lube Kit which has the extras you need for a pro-quality installation. All the components are also available separately.
