1972-1975 Ford F100 Dana 44 Front Axle

Shop now for Parts, Tools, and Manuals for 1972-1975 Ford F100 4x4 Dana 44 open knuckle front axles. We stock a good selection of parts and tools for Dana 44 open knuckle front drive axles for 1972 to 1975 Ford F-100 trucks. All axles for these years are of the open knuckle type (axle u-joint is exposed). There was a very significant Steering Knuckle design change between 1971 to 1972 for the trucks. The early Knuckles prior to 1972 used King Pins and King Pin Bearings to support the Knuckle, while the later trucks 1972-up use Ball Joints. Drum brakes continued to be used up until the end of 1975 and were replaced by disc brakes starting in 1976.
