To the best of our information, 1961 International Scouts were the first production vehicle to be equipped with a Dana 27, but in May of 1961, IHC switched to the Model 27AF which has different outer pinion bearing numbers. International started using the 2,500 pound rated Dana 30 FA-11 and FA-21 closed knuckle axle for Scouts in late 1966 or early 1967, but the 2,000 pound capacity FA-14 Dana 27AF still appears in the 1969-1971 Scout 800A and 800B Parts Catalog so it may actually have been used as late as early 1971 with the 4 cylinder engine.
