The Spindles for 1992-1997 Ford F-350 Dana 60 4x4 Front Axles are the same but different Spindle Nuts are used depending upon the lock out hubs option. Manual Hub equipped trucks use a three piece Round Spindle Nut and Washer set. Trucks with Auto Hubs use a single Rounded Hex Nut. The Spindle Nuts are NOT interchangeable for use with either hub style so if you are converting your Hub-Locks from auto to manual or vise-versa, you will also have to change the Spindle Nuts to match the new hubs.
The dead, hollow spindle design of the 1992-1997 era Ford F-350 Dana 60 series axles uses QU40149 needle bearing to support the outer axle shaft. The two part Spindle Seal and Thrust Washer design was new for 1992, replacing the earlier four piece set-up used from 1978-1991. Personally, I prefer the older Seal design which can be retrofitted to 1992-1997 trucks if you order (2) QU40064 and (1) QK4740.
