Dodge used two versions of NP241DHD Transfer Cases for the 1994-1997 model years. While many of the Snap Rings are the same for both 31 and 32 spline versions, the Snap Rings for the output shafts themsleves are different. The small, 32 spline rear output shaft will be found on 1994-1996 transfer case assembly numbers begining with 5209 and the Extension Housing is a two piece type. The large 31 spline rear output shaft will be found on 1996-1997 Transfer Cases with assembly numbers that begin with 5210 and one piece Extension Housings.
