Slip Stubs: The splined Slip Stubs used on Ford Excursion 4x4 truck Double Cardan front CV driveshafts have never been released as separate components. Although we do stock QU40874 splined slip stub that will fit the tubing, it is a full 1" shorter than the original equipment spline making it unusable as a replacement part unless you retube the shaft.
Slip Yokes: We offer a heavy-duty Slip Yoke for your Ford Excursion Double Cardan Front Constant Velocity Driveshaft with a Type A Slip Joint. QU40855 fits vehicles with original driveshafts built before December 6, 2004 and is the same length and spline as the factory Ford part, but it is beefed up between the yoke and boot groove for greater strength. A weak spot with the original Ford yoke at the point the yoke meets the barrel. Under high torque situations, the Ford yoke can snap at the transition point.
Boots/Boot Clamps: Original Equipment Ford Excursion 4x4 Double Cardan Front Constant Velocity Driveshafts will have one of three types of Slip Yoke Boots. Type A, 6 Bellow Boot which probably was used on over 99% of the Excursion shafts. Type B, 9 Bellow Boots will be found on some really late production Excursions. The Type C Boot is listed by Ford for 1999-2004 years, but our experience is it will be rarely found on driveshafts for these years and models.
