Shop now for Differential Bearings and Pinion Bearings to fit 1980-1996 Ford F150 and Bronco 4x4's with Dana 44 Independent Front Suspension (IFS) Front Drive Axles. Great selection. In stock. Quick shipping.
All 1980 to 1996 Ford Broncos and F-100, F-150, and F-250 4x4 trucks with Dana 44 Independent Front Suspension Twin Traction Beam® Front Axles use the same differential and outer pinion bearings. The Inner Pinion Bearings changed during the 1992 model year, so if you have a 1992 model, you must verify which Inner Pinion Bearing and Cup your axle has.
All bearings are not created equal for fit or durability, so we only stock first class, long lasting, Timken® Differential and Pinion Bearings for your Dana front axle. Timken® was and is a a major original equipment supplier of top-notch bearing components to Dana Spicer. Since I first started rebuilding Dana axles in the mid 1970's, I have found Timken® Bearings to be the most consistent in relation to the published dimensions of any bearing on the market which makes rebuilding an axle right the first time a WHOLE lot easier!
1983.5 to 1996 Ford Bronco, F150 1/2 ton truck, and F-250 3/4 ton trucks with Dana 44IFS Front Axles have part time transfer cases and lockout hubs. With a part time transfer case and lockout hubs, the axle shafts and differential parts do not rotate, so extreme diff/pinion bearing wear is rather rare except in work trucks. However, the flip side is water condensation in the diff has a tendency to cause rust and pitting of the bearings. If your vintage Ford has been used a lot in 4x4 mode or parked outside and subject to temperature changes, there is a good chance that significant wear or water damage may have occurred on your differential and pinion bearings. When you replace the bearings, do not forget to replace the two axle shaft oil seals.
