For the F-350 Dana 60 Front Axle, Ford switched from King Pins to Ball Joints starting with the 1992 Model Year. Ball Joints are a wear item that will require replacement sooner or later. Here in Montana, the factory Ball Joints had an average life of somewhere between 7-10 years in ranch and contractor vehicles. Not bad, but nowhere near the life expectancy of the King Pin parts the earlier trucks used.
The Torque King® lineup now includes Dynatrac Heavy-Duty BallJoints™ for Dana 60 front axles are the strongest, most durable and highest quality Ball Joints available anywhere, featuring heat-treated high-strength billet bodies with chromoly stems. Manufactured for us in USA by Dynatrac, the heat-treated, precision-ground stainless steel ball meets military specifications, a unique seal prevents contamination, plus the ball joints have greaseable fittings and Teflon-coated wear points to provide a long, durable life. Better yet, Torque King® Dynatrac Ball Joints are rebuildable -- they can be rebuilt on the vehicle with common hand tools! Installation procedures are the same as factory Ball Joints.
