The 19 spline outer axle shafts for all 1977-1991 GM 10 Bolt front axles is the same. The Inner Shafts were made with two different spline counts. Up until mid model year 1989, all the inner shafts are 28 spline. Subsequent axles have 30 spline inner axle shafts.

Our most popular choice is our TK40712 cold-forged, non-greaseable, original equipment replacement U-Joint. The wear-resistant cold-forged cross and superior sealing make it the best choice for both low maintenance and long life. QU40754 and QU90007 have hot-forged crosses. They are greaseable through a flush fitting threaded into one of the caps. With good maintenance and quality lubricant like our Pyroplex® Plus Grease, these joints will last and last.
