First used in the 2003 model year, the American Axle Manufacturing (AAM) 1050 10.5" rear axle replaced Dana-Spicer Model 60 and Model 70 axles in Ram 2500 models with lighter gross vehicle weights. We only stock the common maintenance parts for this axle as the vast majority of our customers with 2003 to 2018 Ram 2500 trucks have the heavier AAM 11.50" rear axle. The last year the AAM 1050 axle was used in Ram trucks was 2013. After 2013, the Ram 2500 was equipped with a new, coil sprung, AAM 1150 rear axle.
