This web page lists replacement parts for Spicer 1310 series Double Cardan Constant Velocity front driveshafts for the 1971 to 1991 model year Full-Size Jeep 4x4 vehicles. Until the debut of the 1984 XJ Cherokee, if you had a Jeep with a front CV driveshaft, it was a Spicer Double Cardan type. From 1984 on, Jeep used both Spicer Double Cardan and GKN type front CV driveshafts in small and mid size models. The big J-Series Wagoneer, J10, J20 4x4s continued to use Spicer type Double Cardan CV shafts until J Trucks were discontinued in 1988 and Wagoneer production ended in 1991. For the Spicer type CV driveshafts, Jeep used both greaseable and non-greaseable types for the 1987-1994 era. The centering yokes are NOT interchangeable between the the two types so it is up to you to identify which type shaft you have.
