Tech Note 1: Check for Clearance
When using this seal, you must check for adequate clearance between the front face of the seal and the yoke or flange slinger. In some cases, the seal will need to be recessed into the seal retainer to prevent the slinger from being forced against the seal.

Tech Note 2: Before Installing
Lubricate the Seal Lip with clean grease or petroleum jelly before installing the yoke to provide initial lubrication.
