Tech Note 3: 240-260 series adaptation

Adapting 241-261 transfer cases will require some or all of the following considerations:

Matching an input bearing and seal to your housing. Example: a 241 would need a 55x80mm ball bearing, or machine input shaft to match factory 50x80mm bearing. The seal would also change.

Machining another snap ring groove to match your bearing and housing.

Using QU52415 beariing adapter to match with the small diameter pocket bearing used in early transfer cases.
