O-Ring Groove
Applications

Tech Note 1: O-Ring Groove
Current available countershafts do not have an o-ring groove. The original T18/98 design did not use an o-ring as they are almost always a very tight fit in the housing when installed and typically will not leak. This is the only type still in production, however, you can apply some sleeve retainer compound or sealant to the end of the shaft before it is seated in the housing.
