Tech Note 1: Wear
Connector hoses will age and possibly fail with time. When rebuilding tour transfer case, ALWAYS replace the connector hoses with new original equipment parts.

Tech Note 2: Replacement
Do not replace this little guy with fuel line hose or similar products. You risk a cracked hose which will lead to oil pump and mainshaft failure.
