*This Exploded View is specific to 2019-current model year, Ram 3500 DRW trucks without the AHQ Max-Tow option. These Dually trucks have option code DRX AAM 1150 11.5" ring gear Rear Axles and either the 6.4L gas engine or the standard Cummins Diesel engine.
For the 2019-current model years, all Ram 3500 DRW pickups with either 6.4L gas engines or the standard Cummins Diesel engine use the same hub parts. Ram 3500 DRW pickups with these engines will have an AAM 11.5" rear axle.
This Exploded View also covers the AAM 1150 11.5" axles used in all 2019-up Ram 3500 DRW 34" frame width Chassis Cab trucks without the AHQ Max-Tow option.

The AAM 11.5" rear axle is a conventional, integral type housing hypoid gear iron-beam axles with two pinion bearings. The 11.5" Axle family has been used in Ram trucks since 2003.
A reusable, right-hand thread single spindle nut is used for rear wheel bearing adjustment and retention. The nut is locked in place on the spindle by a square steel key. A snap ring type retainer prevents the key from slipping out of place.
An o-ring is used to seal between the 40mm x 30 spline full-float type axle shaft and wheel hub. The axle shaft is retained by (8) QU11121 bolts with factory applied threadlocker.
The wheel bearings must be packed with grease to provide initial lubrication. In service, 75w85 Synthetic Differential Oil that travels into the wheel hub from the differential will provide long-term wheel bearing lubrication.
The brake rotor is a separate part that bolts to the back side of the hub with 8 bolts.
