Description
QU95037 USA Made 1/2" SAE Fine Thread Class C Grade 8 Lock Nut for Front Spindle and Universal Applications is a high quality, American Made, all-metal, high-strength, prevailing torque type locknut most commonly used to secure the front axle spindle to the steering knuckle on 1970's to 1990's Chevy, Dodge, GMC heavy-duty 4x4 vehicles with open knuckle Dana 60 front axles and serviceable wheel bearings. It can also be used on many other automotive and conventional applications with 1/2-20 thread per inch SAE bolts or studs. Use with 3/4" wrench. Height of nut is approximately 7/16".
Note: QU95037 is the current production replacement for 1972-1993 Dodge truck Shock Mount Studs. It is the same thread, hex size, strength class, and locking type, but it will be about 1/16" of an inch shorter (7/16" compared to the original 1/2")

Our QU95037 heat treated, lot certified, USA made, Class C Locknuts have 150,000 psi minimum proof strength and are designed to be used with matching Grade 8 fasteners. Rockwell Hardness is C26-34. This type of nut resists loosening even when subjected to severe vibration. Plated for corrosion resistance. Meets IFI, ANSI, MS51934, NAS 1021, MIL-N-25027B, ASTM F606, E18 & IFI-107 specifications. Not recommended for use over 450° F (232° C).
