QT9018 5 Pound Dead-Blow Sledge Hammer is indispensable for installing differentials and removing rusted or stuck components without damaging critical machined surfaces. A must have tool for any serious 4x4 mechanic. Common uses include breaking NV4500 tailshaft housings loose, knocking rusted spindles free, installing differentials, removing stuck pinion gears, '94-'04 Dodge cross member removal/installation, and freeing rims stuck to hubs on Fords and Chevy's. At 5 lbs. it is small enough for one-handed operation, yet big and stout enough to handle all the power you can put into it with a two handed swing. USA Made.

Tech Note 1: Product Note
When I was a young mechanic, a mobile tool salesman talked me into trying one of these hammers. I was really skeptical about what it would do until I used it once. Aside from an impact wrench, I don't think I have ever had a tool that saved more time and sweat than my 5 pound Dead-Blow. Due to the weight of the head, you can apply unbelievable force to reluctant parts with out hurting them. If you do much heavy drivetrain repair, you should have one of these tools.
