QT4009 Large Size U-Joint Separator Yoke

QT4009 Large Size U-Joint Separator Yoke is used with a QT1065M C-frame Press and QT4015 Press Anvil to easily remove 1480 and 1485 series 1-3/8" diameter cup size universal joints on many heavy-duty 3/4 ton through 1-1/2 ton diesel light truck driveshafts and 4x4 front axle shafts. Also works on Dana 44 and Dana 50 axle shafts using 1310 and 1350 axle u-joints when used with QT4016 anvil. By placing the press force against the u-joint cross or sides of the shaft yoke, the amount of pressure needed to break a cup free is halved and the chances of damaging the yokes is greatly reduced. Tech Note 1: Fits
QT4009 is made to work on most 1480 and 1485 series rear driveshaft and front axle shaft universal joints with 1-3/8" cup diameters and up to 4-3/8" overall width in heavy-duty 3/4 ton to 1-1/2 ton light trucks. For axle shafts and driveshaft u-joints, QT4009 is made to fit these domestic automotive universal joint sizes:
AAM (Chevy, Dodge, GMC): 1485 (1-3/8")
Spicer (All Makes): 1310 Wheel Joint, 1350 wheel Joint, 1480 (1-3/8")

Tech Note 2: Before Installing
Due to the great many yoke styles used over the last 50 years for 1480/1485 series universal joints, you may need to modify the yoke legs with a grinder to fit your specific yoke configuration
