QT2075 Shift Support Spanner Wrench for New Venture NV271 and NV273 Transfer Cases. QT2075 is a must-have, USA made tool when working on New Venture NV271 Manual Shift and NV273 Electric Shift Transfer Cases that use a screw-in type sector shift shaft support. QT2075 works on all 2003-2012 Dodge Ram NV271D and NV273D Transfer Cases PLUS NV271F and NV273F transfer cases in 1999-2007 Ford Super Dutys and 2000-2005 Excursions. QT2075 is a 1/2" drive tool that has 6 lugs to engage the 6 slots on the your transfer case's shift shaft support making both removal and installation of the part a breeze. For installation, attach QT2075 to a torque wrench and install the shift support to the precise torque specified by the vehicle manufacturers. QT2075 is NOT FOR IMPACT USE!

Tech Note 1: Ford
A Screw-In Shift Sector Support was used on all 1999-2005 4x4 Ford Super Duty and 2000-2005 Excursions. During the 2006-2007 model years, a redesigned front case with integral sector shaft support was phased in. QT2075 tool is NOT required to service NV271F and NV273F Transfer cases with the integral sector shaft support. This includes all 2008-2016 models. QT2075 replaces discontinued Ford Rotunda tool # 308-407. Ford factory shop manuals specify a Sector Support torque of 23 Lb.-ft. (31 Nm).
Tech Note 2: Dodge and RAM
Shift Sector Support Torque for all 2003-2012 New Venture NV271D and NV273D transfer cases is 20-25 Lb.ft. (27-34 Nm). QT2075 replaces Mopar Tool numbers 9033 and 9033A. In mid model year 2012, RAM switched from New Venture transfer cases to Borg Warner.
