Tech Note 1: Applications
Most manual transmissions and transfer cases usually have no way to filter grit and wear particles from the oil. This means damaging contaminants in your oil will be constantly run through your bearings and gears which of course means even more junk in the oil and the ugly and expensive specter of early, catastrophic part failures. Our QK1000 Filter Kit is a simple, but astonishing effective, bolt-on, splash feed filter, that constantly cleanses your oil of both magnetic and non-magnetic particles. The QK1000 Filter can be installed on any manual transmission or transfer case with a standard SAE 6 Bolt Power Take Off Cover Plate on one or both sides of the gear case (The PTO Covers are often mistaken for an "Inspection Plate"). QK1000 fits popular transmissions like Borg Warner T18, T19, and T98 4 speeds, Dodge G56 6 Speed, Muncie SM420 and SM465 4 Speeds, New Process NP435 4 Speed, New Venture NV4500 5 Speed, New Venture NV5600 6 Speed, ZFS5-420 and S5-470 5 Speeds and ZF 6 Speed light truck transmissions. QK1000 also fits NP205 and NP241DHD transfer cases along with Borg Warner chain drive transfer cases with PTO covers.
The QK1000 works because of the movement of oil inside a transmission or transfer case. Oil in a gearbox is in constant, high-speed, motion when the vehicle is in operation. If you ever had the top cover off a transmission and absent mindlessly started the engine with a remote starter switch, you have seen how much and how fast the oil gets thrown about. When a QK1000 Filter is installed on your transmission or transfer case, and you are running at highway speeds, oil is thrown into the QK1000 inlet at high speed and with tremendous volume. It does not take long for crud in your oil to get trapped in the filter. Even at an idle, oil is constantly flowing through the filter element. In summary, The QK1000 Manual Transmission and Transfer Case Filter is effective and...... a whole lot cheaper than gears and bearings!

Transmission Oil Filter ans Gaskets
I'm the original of a 1994 Dodge 2500 Pick Up with a 5.9 Cummins 12 valve diesel and an NV 4500 manual transmission. A long time ago I installed an Eaton transmission oil filter kit on the side of the transmission where the PTO cover is located. At that time Eaton made the filters and gaskets. As time passed the filters became harder and harder to find and I was afraid they would soon be unavailable. That concerned me as I felt oil filtration played a critical role in maintaining a transmission’s long life and durability which has been the case in my truck which I’ve driven for 30 years and 375,000 miles. The transmission operates as smoothly today as it did when it was new. I was elated when I found TorqueKing and soon after that I ordered their filters and gaskets. When they arrived I was pleased to see the gaskets were made by Eaton. I compared their filter with an Eaton filter and was overjoyed in seeing their filters were identical to the Eaton filter. The quality of the products from TorqueKing are superb and their customer service was excellent. Thank you so much.

Replacement Transmission Filters
The service and support I received from TORQUE KING was superb. I will always be grateful for the role they played in making available the oil filter for the NV 4500 manual transmission in my 1994 Dodge Ram Cummins pick up that I’ve owned since new. The drive train is superb and the transmission is in excellent condition due to the care it’s been given over the years which always included the Eaton-Fuller PTO filtration system. Not long ago I was dismayed to learn the filter was no longer being made. Several months later I called TORQUE KING and learned that arrangements were underway to bring the filter back. I was elated and when it became available I immediately ordered several from them. The customer service after the purchase was also excellent and included very prompt shipment and careful packaging of the filters. I cannot recall the last time I ever received such excellent customer service. Thank you TORQUE KING for all that you made possible.
