Tech Note 2: Specs
The Clutch Masters FXT Series single disc conversion kit for the Dodge Ram is an excellent upgraded unit to replace the Original self-adjusting pressure plate and dual-mass flywheel. The factory Dual-Mass flywheel is prone for failure under heavy towing and if any power modifications are made to the vehicle. Thankfully the Clutch Masters conversion kit solves the problem by using a single mass steel flywheel that will handle more torque, higher towing capacity, and can be resurfaced. The Clutch Masters 13” pressure plate offers a higher clamping force as well as a wider casting to accept the upgraded 3” wide disc. Steel backed organic disc is available for the 13” Single disc conversion kit. Also included is the release bearing, alignment tool, and mounting hardware to ensure an easy install.
