Tech Note 1: Coarse Thread Studs
The coarse thread wheel studs are 14 mm in diameter and have a 2.0 thread pitch. Be advised that the bolt-on cast iron hub adapters that fit between the wheel hub and front wheel on 2003 and 2004 trucks have 14mm x 1.5 thread Fine Thread studs on the wheel side. Why these trucks use coarse thread studs on the hub and fine thread studs on the adapter is something I do not know.

Tech Note 2: Hub Extension
Your Hub Extension which is the factory wheel adapter between the wheel hub and front wheel is NOT included in this Kit. You must remove it from your old hub and install it on the new hub.

Tech Note 3: Design
The 4x4 Wheel Hub Assembly for your Ford is of unitized construction. It was not designed to be disassembled or serviced except for QU40143 Axle Shaft Support Bearing and QU20023 O-ring. Consequently, no wheel bearing service parts or tools are available. The same is true for the factory hub locks. Except for QU20044 O-ring and QU20043 Snap Ring, no service parts are available.

Tech Note 4: Ford 1999.5-2004 DRW
The Wheel Hubs used on 1999.5-2004 DRW Ford Super Duty F-350, F-450, and F-550 4x4 trucks are the same. In my opinion, the basic design and size of these parts is adequate for the F350 models, but I do not believe the wheel bearings are really large enough for the heavy Gross vehicle Weight F-450 and F-550 models, especially those with snow plows or longer wheelbases that put a greater percentage of weight on the front axle compared to short wheel base trucks. I don't have a solution for this situation, as the potential, F-450 and F-550 hub durability issues are due to size and NOT component quality.
