QU40860 Unfinished Greaseable Brand New Front CV Shaft Assembly for Ford Replace your worn out Double Cardan Constant Velocity 2000-2005 Ford Excursion or 1999-2016 Super Duty 4x4 front CV driveshaft with a brand new, totally greaseable, USA made Double Cardan Constant Velocity front driveshaft featuring 100% brand new components. This is the lowest cost way to get a brand new shaft if you have the machine shop skills and a lathe. The CV Head is already welded to the tube, so all you have to do is determine what length to cut the tube before finishing the assembly. Welding and other machine shop skills and equipment is required to complete assembly!!!! USA Made.
Shaft includes: QU40863 greaseable CV Head QU40731 greaseable front universal joint, QU40874 Slip Stub, QU40875 greaseable Slip Yoke. Length of QU40862 Torque Tube is about 30".

Cut your driveshaft tubing to a length that will have the slip yoke at the midpoint of it's travel over the non-splined segment of the stub with the trucks weight on the front axle. Driveshaft assembly can be done by any competent machinist, but best results are usually obtained from dedicated driveshaft specialists who can both finish and balance the finished shaft.
