QU40794 7260 Series Greaseable U-Joint for 1961-1993 Dodge trucks has a heavier, hot-forged, alloy steel cross than is typical for this series u-joint. Fits most Dodge full size SUV, 1/2 ton and 3/4 ton truck rear driveshafts from 1961 to 1989 (some all the way to 1993). Also used on intermediate transmission to transfer case driveshafts from 1961 to 1975 and on many front driveshafts from 1961 to 1992. Has a grease fitting in one cup for ease of lubrication. Made in Mexico.

Tech Note 1: U-Joint Specs
7260 series u-joints were originally made by Chrysler's (now defunct) Detroit Universal division. 7260 Series u-joints are retained by internal c-clips that fit against the inside of the yoke ears. Width between the yoke ears is 2-1/8". U-Joint cup diameter is 1.078". Standard Duty U-Joint is QU40751. Heavy Duty U-Joint part number is QU40794.

Tech Note 2: Heavy Duty
Heavy-Duty is a relative term. QU40794 U-joints have thicker crosses than is typical for this series universal joint, however, these are really small u-joints, that size wise are stressed by larger gas V8 engines and/or high u-joint angles. If you are souping up your old Dodge, consider upgrading the driveshafts and universal joints to a larger series.
