QU40690 True-Trac Gear Type Limited Slip Differential for Dana S111 rear axles in 2008-up Ram 4500, Ram 5500 trucks.
The new Spicer® Trac-Lok™ differential provides improved traction capability without the driver engaging any switches or mechanisms. It is an autonomous device that acts as an open differential and freely differentiates in normal operating mode. During a slip event, it automatically sends approximately three times more torque to the high traction wheel-end. It then automatically returns to full differentiation as conditions change for maximum vehicle handling and ease of use. The Spicer® Trac-Lok™ comes in a lightweight five-pinion pair design to serve a variety of Class 6 and Class 7 medium-duty applications

S110L Upgrade
As part of the Trac-Lok launch, Dana has also upgraded the Spicer® S110L medium-duty axle with a more robust differential assembly that maximizes torque loading capacities. This upgrade does not apply to S110 open differential assemblies. To use QU40690 in S110L models the primary gearing and side gears must be replaced!
