Tech Note 1: Dana 80 Rear Axle Shafts
Dodge Dana 80 Rear Axle Shafts have 1-1/2" 35 spline inner ends. Both left and right axle shafts are the same length on a given axle.
Tech Note 2: BOM Numbers
QU40363 is for Ram 3500 DRW pickup trucks with these BOM numbers: 605592, 605593, 605718, 605788, 605789, 605902, 605903, 605975, 605976, 605982, 605983, 606111, 606112, 606152, 606153, 606245, 606246, 606268, 606269, 606547, 606548, 606711, 606712. Length is 39".
Tech Note 3: Worn Differential Side Gears
If your axle shaft splines are worn (a common occurrence), chances are the differential side gear splines are also worn. Installing a new axle shaft in worn gears will result in accelerated axle shaft spline wear which is not covered by our parts warranty. Replace worn differential side gears when replacing an axle shaft with visible spline wear!
