QU40265 Dana 60 Upper King Pin Spring This genuine original equipment Dana Spicer heavy-duty coil spring applies constant tension to QU40093 Upper King Pin Bushing to automatically adjust for wear and dampen road shock. QU40265 fits 1975 to 1993 model years on all Chevy, Dodge, Ford, GMC, and IHC 3/4 ton and 1 ton 4x4 trucks equipped with either the Dana Spicer Model 60 or Model 61, open knuckle front axles with King Pins.

Tech Note 1: Design
Of all the King Pin and Ball Joint configurations used on 3/4 and 1 ton 4x4 trucks, none is as durable as the Dana Spicer King Pin Open Knuckle design that was introduced in the 1975 model year. Unfortunately, for one reason or another, all the vehicle manufacturers switched to ball joints in the early 1990's with GM and Ford dropping the design after 1991, while Dodge used it until 1993.
